It's difficult to show what I mean through these images but the fields do seem mirrored particularly on the reverse. In my experience this is something that could not generally be achieved with cleaning. Obviously this has circulated to a degree although we all know this happens with proof coins, even regularly with the 1927 British issues. What's the general feeling on this, possible proof or definitely not?

I would say most likely not. The metal overflow on the obverse rim doesn't quite fit with the usual flat, well-defined rims and sharp edges on the proofs.

The 1927 Parliament House 2 bob often turns up in a prooflike condition here in Australia, Its just one of those coins that was struck from well prepared dies i suppose.

Thanks guys, I was aware it was a long shot but it's something I have little experience of so it's always best to ask. Some online sources give varying mintage figures and some even claim it was a matt proof only so there wasn't a lot to go on.
