HistoricCoinage Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 I've reorganised my library and have a couple of spares. I thought I'd post them here first before offering them for general sale. First up is Volume 1 of English Coins in the British Museum - Anglo-Saxon, by Charles Keary. Hardback, 1970, Seaby. Absolutely brilliant condition throughout, no foxing/tears/scuffs, no dustjacket and does have two red ink marks across the top (shown). 282 pages and 30 plates. Asking £30 with free UK postage.
HistoricCoinage Posted October 2, 2013 Author Posted October 2, 2013 Second up is a copy of Anglo-Saxon Pennies by Michael Dolley. Paperback, 1970, The Trustees of the British Museum. Very good condition with no tears. Slight marks to cover and some blunt corners. 32 pages plus 16 plates. Asking £10 with free UK postage.
Peckris Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 That's what the wife says. A kind of generic LOL remark that could cover replies to many posts on many forums. Possibly comes unstuck however, when spammily attached to posts offering hammered coin books for sale.Possibly it might work - at a generous stretch - to "Very good condition with no tears" or even "have a couple of spares" (hmm, no; perhaps not), but I wish you well with your pressed and reconstituted pork products, wherever you lay them gently and unthinkingly to rest...
