crooh001 Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 http://tinypic.com/r/s623iw/5Hi all. Just wanted to see if anyone can identify these medieval-looking coins that I was recently given. They look hammered - so that is why I guess medieval. All 4 of these coins are the same design. One side features a crown with writing surrounding it and the other side features a crown above a ?harp?, with writing surrounding that. I can't make out much more than that - they're pretty poor quality. Hope someone can help me out - thanks very much! Quote
Paulus Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 (edited) Welcome to the Forum! Not medieval, I believe they are all farthings of either Charles I or James I, although which monarch and which types I cannot make out! Coinery will doubtless contribute and identify them in a jiffy! Dates would be the first half of the 17th century. Edited June 13, 2013 by Paulus Quote
