After getting the great feedback with my first post I thought I'd try a couple more that I'm curious about. These 2 coins were some of the first to be added to my collection before I really knew too much and wasn't being the smartest about researching the coin before purchase. It was more of a 'that looks cheap I should buy it' mentality. My questions are: for the Henry, is it authentic and any idea on Spink #, for the Charles did I get the number right? I think it is 2779. I'm pretty sure the mm is the triangle in the circle. I know both are not in the best of shape, one clipped the other worn but any input is appreciated. Thanks again. I'll throw the Charles in this post and the Henry in the next.

The Charles I will be ok and is a type 4 halfcrown, i.m. triangle in circle (the only other mark with this horse is star). The jury is out on the Henry VIII. It is York, but the image quality isn't good enough to compare with known fakes. You need to take perpendicular images because angled shots make comparing with the database of false coins or overlaying images impossible. I would hazard a guess and say it may well be ok because a ragged flan is a lot more difficult to reproduce.

I'll take some different pics with a better camera and post them up, those were the best I could do with the one at hand. Thanks for the advice.
