2012 5 pence coin

I've found a 2012 5 pence shield coin with a very faint queens head side,some of the letters/numbers are unreadable they are that faint,the facial details are faint too.

The knurled edge and shield side are really crisp and clear.any info on this coin would be much appreciated,I'm new to all this.

A photo or a scan always helps. But it sounds like a misstrike, which are happening more and more frequently these days (quality control at the Mint ). An interesting curio, which some people collect, but of no great value I suspect.
