Phil FK Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 Just a few coins I picked up on holiday last year from an 'antique' stall on the island of Lombok in Indonesia.Got into a price negotiation and ended up with every coin he had!2b has got the Dutch East India company logo on in and from a bit of google research I think it's a duit, and very old. But maybe one of you knows better:-)http://i1117.photobucket.com/albums/k595/FKPhil/1Lombok_zpse28618e9.jpghttp://i1117.photobucket.com/albums/k595/FKPhil/2Lombok_zpsc30b5fc0.jpghttp://i1117.photobucket.com/albums/k595/FKPhil/3Lombok_zps3fdcf649.jpghttp://i1117.photobucket.com/albums/k595/FKPhil/4Lombok_zps37cf0d71.jpghttp://i1117.photobucket.com/albums/k595/FKPhil/5Lombok_zpse0fdaf34.jpghttp://i1117.photobucket.com/albums/k595/FKPhil/6Lombok_zps08a84ba3.jpghttp://i1117.photobucket.com/albums/k595/FKPhil/7Lombok_zps22572103.jpg Quote

Sun, song, and a bit of coin shopping, perfect! As for your coins, not my area at all, though I'm sure someone will come through good for you! Quote

Phil FK Posted December 25, 2012 Author Posted December 25, 2012 The previous year we went to Bali.Snorkelling under this temple,There were lots of coins with holes in, pretty cheapo reproductions tied together with (modern) string.I took a few out to show to my daughter, who immediately said I should return them when I explained they were probably offerings.I duly obliged; just kept this one.So far no spirit induced misfortune has fallen on me; unless I was supposed to win the EuroMillions lottery last week.
