Guest janis55 Posted August 2, 2004 Posted August 2, 2004 I have had a 1967 mounted coloured half crown for over 30 years, that was originally on a chain. Can anyone tell about these and what they are worth to a dealer of coinsOn the heads side it is in deep red with gold/yellow writing around the edge, and on the reverse side a multi colored crown in deep red/some green/ some gold. Its alovely coin but i don't know who made it or much else really. you can't feel the coin itself as it has a clear covering over it.Can anybody help? Many thanks Quote
Emperor Oli Posted August 3, 2004 Posted August 3, 2004 (edited) These things are fairly common. I just id an eBay search for enamelled in coins and it turned up 20 results. These things are done perhaps to mount on a chain or as a brooch, and I think the good ones look quite nice but some other members will disagree! I don't really know how much a 1967 would be worth because it is quite a common half crown. It would all depend on the quality of the enamelling for which we would need a scan or a photo.Edit: Why did you post this three times :SEdit 2: My post is now redundant because of Sylvester's!
