Hi there,

I have just inherited over 200 coins and notes from all over the world. There are two really old ones that are difficult to make out but the dates are 16's.

The 3rd oldest is a George III Guinea from 1790 in mint condition.

Are they worth insuring or are they worthless?

Thanks,

Martin

Probably not worth insuring individually (it should be below the valuables limit on your house contents insurance - but check). Certainly worth keeping safe though. Value will depend on condition. You say 'mint' but without a photo it's impossible to verify. The value lies in the range £350 - £1k, with £1k for a perfect specimen.
