Half Penny Jon Posted June 5, 2004 Posted June 5, 2004 Hi everyone,How do you keep a record of your coin collection? Or don't you? I keep a record of my half penny collection on an Excel database which I find very useful because you can keep a very detailed record of the coin.HPJ (Jon) Quote
Master Jmd Posted June 5, 2004 Posted June 5, 2004 I use Excel too, but i do sometimes put it onto a table set out on Front page. Excel is a very useful package for keeping an accurate record. Quote
Sylvester Posted June 5, 2004 Posted June 5, 2004 I never used to bother, then i started keeping a handwritten record, followed by an excel one which got deleted during reboot, but was hopelessly out of date at the time.I then made a new one on Word, a few weeks ago after selling most things off, i went back to excel. Emperor Oli Posted June 5, 2004 Posted June 5, 2004 I also used to have a handwritten record like Sylvester but then transferred it to Excel. Mines set out asMonarch ¦ Date ¦ Grade ¦ Denomination ¦ Value ¦ Seller detailsI should really put in price paid but I have that still on a handwritten piece of paper! Quote
tooley1 Posted June 6, 2004 Posted June 6, 2004 I bought a disc from Ebay entitled 321 Collect - Collectibles Managment Software. This allows you to input info such as how much you paid , from whom , book value , Grade, description and insert photo and it is a great bit of kit, plus it can be used for whatever you collect .
