Aethelred Posted May 31, 2004 Author Posted May 31, 2004 By the way you had better watch out, with too many Americans running around you guys may start talking funny! Quote
Chris Perkins Posted May 31, 2004 Posted May 31, 2004 I sometimes think there must only be about 50 serious coin collectors in the world....And I probably know 45 of them! And you didn't find this place without being told about it first? Quote
GDJMSP Posted May 31, 2004 Posted May 31, 2004 He never usually needs all that much persuading does he With all his student loans going on coins I wonder what he uses for books, or what he eats? Eats ?? Why spend money that could be well used on coins on superfluous items like food Yeah - Sylvester needs some gentle persuasion from time to time. Why I've seen him go a month or more without buying a coin That's when I usually post a pic of some gold doo-dad and get him all excited Quote

You'll find us very much set in our ways. You'd better be careful you don't start speaking and spelling properly. (Watch out for Emperor Oli )The last regular American hasn't been back for quite a while after I think I may have offended her Quote

No I meant, the last American to use this forum on a regular basis. I couldn't possibly say what a 'regular American' was, as I'm quite sure you have a diverse and varied culture, and it would be far to complicated to generalise. I'll tell you when I've been to America and seen for myself.I live in Germany, so I'm afraid I miss the Queens speech too. Quote
Aethelred Posted May 31, 2004 Author Posted May 31, 2004 Right, you don't know talking funny until you have lived in the Southern USA! Quote
Aethelred Posted May 31, 2004 Author Posted May 31, 2004 So, what did you do that offended her? Quote
Chris Perkins Posted May 31, 2004 Posted May 31, 2004 So, what did you do that offended her? Well, in case she comes back, I won't say.Don't want to go airing dirty laundry, but it was nothing to do with the way she spoke/spelled. I said something that i think she must have taken as being quite rude. Quote
Emperor Oli Posted June 1, 2004 Posted June 1, 2004 Heyho chaps. What's OT in the title meant to mean - ornate trident?! Quote
Half Penny Jon Posted June 1, 2004 Posted June 1, 2004 I thought it was "ornamental trident", not ornate trident. Quote
Emperor Oli Posted June 1, 2004 Posted June 1, 2004 Hmm apparently it is. Oh well I don't do Victorian coins! Quote
Aethelred Posted June 1, 2004 Author Posted June 1, 2004 Heyho chaps. What's OT in the title meant to mean - ornate trident?! Just means "off topic." Quote
