hey all I know you all deal more with older coins but I recently found a 2003 missouri coin one from the 50 state collection the americans have released but this one when looking at the face of the coin is right side up then if you flip it from right to left the head on the reverse of the coin is upside down anyone know if this is common in these coins or is this an error???

of course I've reaserched this on the internet but came up with nothing helpful so any input would be greatly appreciated.

thnx for taking the time to read my post

I'm not 100% sure with those modern state quarters, but all other US coinage has the allignment you mention (reverse upside down etc) so I would be 99% sure that's a bog standard coin.

Allignment questions, when people wonder if they have a rare coin just because it doesn't look like a British modern coin are very common. The subject has been covered in here a couple of time. I really must write something un missable about the subject, so that hopefully people can learn for themselves. (no offence intended Jordan.....By the way, you're not 'The' Jordan are you?? ;))

hey chris thank's for the reply I suppose I could have searched a little harder but when searching for thing's like this I tend to look for key words that might direct me to the source I need. (still an amature)

thanks for the advice though, and as for (THE Jordan) I'm not sure if that's me or not but I have posted here before about the 1887 canadian coin that we descoverd to be an esso gas station token from the late 70's

You're welcome.

And I meant the glamour model Jordan! AKA Katie Price.

(Dare I say it; The only thing she has in common with coin collectors, is that she too likes to show people her thropenny bits!)

:o:blink:B)
