Mightyzob Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 Hi, I was just sorting through some old decimal 5p's when I came across a 1978 5p with a plain (not milled) edge. Is this unusual or does this variety exist? All the other 5p's had a milled edge and when I compared it to others from the same year it seemed identical (apart from the edge). Also, can anyone tell me why there is a "." after the 7 on scottish shillings dated 1937 & 1947 but not on the english ones? Many thanks in anticipation.DaveT Quote

These curiosities do occur from time to time. The E/S shilling question will just be a design feature I should think? I have to say, I'd never noticed that before! Quote
