George1990 Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 (edited) I have put this for sale and am unsure of it's value. It's the Rocking Horse 1935 George V Commemorative Silver Jubilee Crown. It's in very good condition. The edge reads DECUS ET TUTAMEN * ANNO REGNI XXV *If any of you are interested in buying it then let me know.(New to this forum but think I have put it in the right section!)Thanks Edited August 11, 2009 by George1990 Quote
George1990 Posted August 11, 2009 Author Posted August 11, 2009 Anyone know how much? I was thinking about £15?I know they are the most common George V Crown, so is that about right? Quote
Chris Perkins Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 Yes, that's about right. That's about what I'd sell it for. Quote
Peckris Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 It's certainly in top grade - book price is about £25 but you could probably pick them up for less. Not a rare coin, but collectable - anyone who can't afford any other Geo V crown will target those. And the reverse design, though much mocked in its day ("the rocking horse crown") has come to acquire a certain Art Deco charm. Quote
