HELLO FELLOW PEOPLES

I HAVE THIS 1696 SIXPENCE AND REALISE THERE ARE A FEW VARIATIONS FOR THIS COIN. ON PROPERLY LOOKING AT THE COIN THE FIRST "L" IN GVLIELMVS LOOKS LIKE A "D" FIRST I THOUGHT IT MIGHT HAVE JUST BEEN AN EXTRA PIECE OF METAL AND DUE TO THE TONING ON THE COIN IT DIDNT MEET IN THE MIDDLE BUT WHEN ANGLED INTO THE LIGHT IT MEETS IN THE MIDDLE TO RESEMBLE A NICE LETTER "D" THOUGHT I WOULD POST THIS TO SEE IF ANYONE ELSE HAS ANY THOUGHTS ON THE COIN

IT IS HARD TO SEE IT AS THE TONING COVERS THE END OF THE LETTER BUT I CAN SEE IT ON AN ANGLE

THANKS

It has a very weak 'I' too. But it's pretty worn so you may never know for sure what has gone on with the 'L'.
