chris Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 hello fellow coin collectorsi have just bought the rotographic collectors coins gb 2009 and looking at the 1862 farhing i noticed there was a variation where a small 8 had been stamped over a large 8. i have an 1862 farhing so i decided to take a close scan of the date an looking at it the coin does seem to have a larger 8 underneath the main 8. the rest of the numbers on the date are fine and i would say the coin is in ef/unc condition hmmmmcan anyone verify this for us pleasethanks again Quote
Chris Perkins Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 I think it's most likely that the date has been re-punched as the 6 also appears slightly doubled. An excellent choice of book though, make sure you get one every year now Quote
