Guest chrisfoot Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 Hi all. This is my first post and as a non-collector I would be very grateful for some help & advice about a coin I have found while clearing out my loft.It is a 1720 George I shilling and I would like to know what grade this would be considered and an approximate valuation as if it is worth anything I would probably sell it. I have seen some similar coins on the web from about £35 - £500, so I don't really know where this falls on the scale. I have attached photos of the coin.Any help would be greatly appreciated.Thanks.Chris. Quote

Ebay would be a total lottery as the prices paid are frequently over the top or way too low. The obverse is only scraping fine, though the reverse looks a bit better - as always. Quote
