Geoff T Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 All depends on condition.well im not really into all this coin collecting thing they not to bad a condition some of them sres little dirtyCondition is everything in assessing the value of coins as modern as the ones you mention. They will however, have a minimum value for their silver content. Those up to 1919 will be 92.5% silver, the rest 50%.Grading coins to assess their condition can be a minefield for a beginner, but check out some of the links on this site for guidance in getting started.Ideally, if you can post pictures of your shillings it will be of great help to us in helping you further.Geoff Quote
wemer1 Posted January 19, 2008 Author Posted January 19, 2008 Here is a pic of one of the coins Quote
Rob Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 (edited) Here is a pic of one of the coinsThat looks close to uncirculated with a better strike on the reverse than normally seen. The first issue shillings are rarely encountered with a fully struck up lion's nose. It isn't perfect, but nearly there. Edited January 19, 2008 by Rob Quote
wemer1 Posted January 19, 2008 Author Posted January 19, 2008 Well i have 3o all in the same condition what sort of value would you put on them Quote
Chris Perkins Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 Impossible to say as each would have to be judged individually. Even if all are 'Uncirculated' there are still other factors that affect the values. They could each be worth from £5 to £30 each or even a bit more.If they are all high grade though they would be perfect for me to buy and put on this website. I always look at each coin individually and make an offer based on how I price then for sale. Quote
wemer1 Posted January 19, 2008 Author Posted January 19, 2008 so how would you get to look at them, post them to you. and would you be interested in purchasing them. Quote
