hi

i'm trying to identify a random coin i have. i bought a bulk lot of farthings a couple of weeks ago & in there this is a tiny gold coloured copy of a 5 sov coin possibly. it is slightly smaller than a groat if that helps any.

on the reverse side it has st george & the dragon & is dated 1887 & on the obverse side it's queen vic with the jubilee head & has IM OF 5 SOVGN L:CHR:LAUER written on it.

any ideas on what it is?

cheers

Lauer (German company) manufactured minute toy coins.

Over the years I've aquired a few.

They are not worth a lot apart from novelty factor.
