josie Posted March 4, 2007 Author Posted March 4, 2007 Just saw coin yearbook 2006 that the diameter of the medal are 56 and 21 mm but the one I posted is 38.6 near to the size of 1951 crown and also measured it by a ruler near to 39mm smooth edge. Quote
Geoff T Posted March 5, 2007 Posted March 5, 2007 Just saw coin yearbook 2006 that the diameter of the medal are 56 and 21 mm but the one I posted is 38.6 near to the size of 1951 crown and also measured it by a ruler near to 39mm smooth edge. Those are the sizes of the official medal issued by the Royal Mint. What you have is an unofficial medal, of which there are many types and no standard size.Geoff Quote
josie Posted March 5, 2007 Author Posted March 5, 2007 Thanks Geoff. Now I know.if the medal is not in the same size like the 2 mentioned it is unofficial and many others or rest of them. Quote
