Guest Guest_Craig_I'm_a_Guest Posted August 13, 2006 Posted August 13, 2006 Hi,I was hoping someone could help me identify a coin in my late grandfathers collection. In my investigations of it I know it is a gothic victoria florin but the date confuses me; mdccclxxx is 1880 but then there is, what I can only identify as the greek letter beta (. Does this signify the date as 1882 with the b as a two instead of the roman numerals II? Can anybody please shed any light on this and possibly give an indication of value?Thank you, Craig. Quote
