I've no idea. Perhaps someone who collects gold will be able to enlighten you! The Chard site doesn't seem to have anything on it, nor does any other gold dealer.

I don't think it's the kind of thing the Swiss mint would advertise!

It's possible, but no-one will ever know for sure as the original Nazi gold has probably been melted and remelted by now.

There was a programme on the telee about higher traces of mercury being detected in the 1935 LB and 1947 coins. However I have not seen any real determinate substantion of that.

The significance of higher traces of mercury would indicate that perhaps the gold had been smelted from dental fillings.
