mr.truck Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 Hi there,i'll make this my final thread for now cos I seem to be taking up the entire board. I just keep searching through these new coins and finding new ones that look interesting! So if anyone has any ideas about any of these I would greatly appreciate it.I have 1 coin that I think might be a coronation coin. says william IV king of great britain, crowned sep 8 1831, reverse her most gracious majesty queen adelaide. coin is in good condition.1 1902 sixpence enameled in orange, green and blue on a white background, in fair condition.1 1902 coin, not sure of its denomination but it features a lion on a crown. It is set in a red ring with a sky blue interior. portrait of edward VII on the reverse. If anyone has any ideas about the history or value estimates for these coins I would appreciate it.tamr.truck Quote
mr.truck Posted April 26, 2006 Author Posted April 26, 2006 sorry !!1 more its a 1839 quarter farthing that appears to be in very good condition.thanx Quote
Peter Posted April 27, 2006 Posted April 27, 2006 I've noted Geoff's replys to your other posts....He's very tactful...enamel painted coins like this have no real interest to collectors...and medallions are hit and miss.Your 1/4 farthing may be of more interest to collectors and Ebay will probably find its level as long as you post a good picture and description. It could be worth between £10 to £60 depending on condition Quote

Not the official one by the sound of it, but there are several others. Does yours have a maker's name anywhere and what size is it? There is a rather fine one by Thomason with Queen Adelaide on the reverse, signed on the obverse. A picture would help. The 1902 coin with a lion on it sounds like a shilling.Geoff Quote
