within my deceased father in laws bits and bobs we found a coin

which is very small, dated 1940,is rounded not twelve sided and is a three pence piece,

is this rare and worth anything?

It is a very common (50% silver) 3d.

Value from say 25p (circulated) to about £7 to £10 if absolutley perfect with full mint lustre.

Keep it for your Xmas pudding
