Gary D Posted March 8, 2006 Posted March 8, 2006 There were plenty of penny coins minted in the 1940s, ranging from 14 million in 1949 to 80 million in 1945. You are probably thinking of the 1933 penny which I believe is now thought to be as many as about 12. Quote
