Not a bad beaded border penny. I'll leave you to the penny experts.

Not an expert, but vicky pennies are my main interest.

Almost certainly Gouby obverse C (thin rim, i.e. the relatively common one). Need better pics to identify reverse.

Grade F+

Value... about £20 but depends on reverse die.

I think it's a Freeman 6 - the commonest beaded border penny.

It's definitely not a F7 - the sea doesn't cross the linear circle at the left and there's no rock to the left of the lighthouse.

It looks like 6 because the shield looks flat and Britannia's thumb touches the St. George's Cross

Worth £10-20 I should think.

:) thanks for your replies I have no intentions of ever selling this coin as to me it is more the sentimental value anyway. I do know it is a copper penny but not alot more of its history so thanks again. :) Lou.xxx

Hi Louise,

small correction, it is a Bronze Penny and not copper. The 1860 Copper penny is bigger, 34mm in diameter and would be worth many times that of the Bronze 1860 penny.

This is a copper Penny, they were minted from 1825 - 1860
