Did I pay too much?

As there are lots of experts here I wanted to know your opinion.

I just recieved this 2d from 1797 that I bought, I was wondering, do you think I paid too much?

You paid its money but its only £35/40.

Its a reasonable example.

The underlying condition seems better than its rims (2oz of copper dents easily).

These pieces go up exponentially when the grades go higher, beater pieces with lots of dents and wear are not that much, but the BU examples are way out there now. I wisht I bought one years ago.

I though I had paid it's price, and I am over the moon about getting this one. I really wanted one example in my colection, and now I got it.

It is the first I see in person too, I was shocked at its thickness, imagine us carring that short of loose change in our pockets!

Pickpocketing would go down dramatically as if they robbed you, first, you would certainly notice, and second they could not run away because of the weight!
