The Kingdom of Macedon Alexander III “The Great” AR Tetradrachm is one of the most iconic silver coins of the ancient Greek world. Issued under Alexander III of Macedon (336–323 BC) and, in many cases, continued by his successors after his death, these remarkable tetradrachms became the principal silver currency of the Hellenistic world
