Guest Bruce Ferguson Posted August 8, 2005 Posted August 8, 2005 I have an Edward VII threepence dated 1902 which is painted gold on the obverse and multicoloured on the reverse - gold with the crown picked out in light blue, the "3" in dark blue, the circumference in red. It is encased in a device for attachment as a necklace or bracelet. I realise that such "tampering" may not be of interest to coin collectors but does anyone know anything about this type of coin and whether it is of any value other than sentimental? Quote

If the colouring - or enamelling - is of especially good quality, you could hope to get a fairly good price for it. Otherwise, if it's slightly gauche, it won't be worth much at all apart from sentimental value. This site provides more information. Quote
