Guest Martin Posted June 28, 2005 Posted June 28, 2005 Usual story I imagine, I have inherited the coin collection of a relative and am interested in its value. I have looked through the site and I don't think I have will be worth a great deal. I have attempted to grade the coins using this sites grading guide and could well be out on some of them. If a picture of a coin is required to check detail or my grading that shouldn't be a problem. Any advice on whether and how I should sell them would be appreciated.1912H Penny Good all writing visible and clear. Peter Posted June 28, 2005 Posted June 28, 2005 Nothing really stands out .Maybe the best coins are 1916 shilling and the 1926 & 1953 penny. If you could post a half decent obverse(heads) of the 1926 we could check if it is the modified and rarer version.I imagine a novice would find it difficult...google 1926 ME and try yourself.I would imagine if you listed that lot on Ebay you might get £5 to £10.If the 1926 penny is the rare version it would be worth about £10.Hope this helps.
