Citizen H Posted May 15 Posted May 15 (edited) These 3 I found recently amongst Hammered Penny, Shillings & others all together, So dealing them as groups will speed things up, The 1572 Elizabeth, Mint Ermine although I thought it was 1571 when I first looked at it. Edited May 15 by Citizen H Quote
Citizen H Posted May 15 Author Posted May 15 (edited) Elizabeth 1587, Mint Crescent , there's a crack that runs through both sides. the reverse side looks repaired, would this have been a mint repair? Edited May 15 by Citizen H Quote
Citizen H Posted May 15 Author Posted May 15 (edited) James I, 1607-1609 Mint Coronet, the reverse looks like a double stamp? one shield overlaps the other at a different angle... is this a common occurrence? or complete lash up at the mint?? Edited May 15 by Citizen H Quote

No, repair is never done at the mint. It's much less hassle just to strike another piece than to repair. 1 Quote
