Chris Perkins Posted January 3, 2004 Posted January 3, 2004 Yes there was a bit of an error there and the higher rank actually had less 'pips' associated with it.I've sorted it now and added a few more goals!Shown below are the current ranks, and numbers of posts needed to achieve them:Newbie 0Starter member 5Member 30 Regular participating member 50Very familiar face 150Part of the furniture 200Forum god 500Which left hand symbols do you mean Olli?Chris Quote

Emperor Oli Posted January 3, 2004 Author Posted January 3, 2004 Thanks for the clarification and I've attached a picture with the symbols artistically highlighted Quote
Chris Perkins Posted January 4, 2004 Posted January 4, 2004 If those symbols are highlighted blue it means there is a new message (or new messages) that you haven't read yet.I can't remeber the difference between the double arrow and 'X' sign, I think it may have something to do with if you started the discussion or not.I just work here, and only have 1 star on my badge!Chris Quote

Quote
Chris Perkins Posted January 4, 2004 Posted January 4, 2004 It's a double arrow fo me too.I run it!Aha, worked it out.....It's because there is one or more forum within that forum area (the ad forum about the collectors coins book)So you get a double arrow to show that there are more areas within.Alles Klar?Chris Quote

Emperor Oli Posted January 5, 2004 Author Posted January 5, 2004 Ach! Viele Leute sprechen Deutsche hier. Das ist fantastisch. Thanks for clearing that up Chris, its been annoying me for quite some time! Quote
Chris Perkins Posted January 5, 2004 Posted January 5, 2004 Maybe I should start an entirely German discussion area! You come straight to me with any more annoyances Olli.Chris Quote
Chris Perkins Posted January 5, 2004 Posted January 5, 2004 I assume that was you Olli?I've changed things around a bit now, so that the forum is in one frame and the Main menu is always near the top, and at the bottom. It makes things appear more together I think.Chris Quote
Emperor Oli Posted January 6, 2004 Author Posted January 6, 2004 I assume that was you Olli?It was but my login button had disappeared but it's obviously back now. Hmm thar be mysterious things afoot..... Quote
Chris Perkins Posted January 6, 2004 Posted January 6, 2004 No, that was me!I was messing around with the page layout, deep in the darkest depths of the php code and I forgot to put the buttons back properly!!I've finished now, and the main change is that the main menu is incoporated into the page code (top and bottom) and not running in a seperate frame like before... Which looked a bit Mickey Mouse. It also means that you use less connections, so it should work a little smoother.Chris Quote
