Guest carole Posted April 7, 2005 Posted April 7, 2005 hello , i have in my possession a small 1897 silver coin , queen victoria on one side, on the other it has a crown at the top with 18 on the left a big 3 in middle and 97 on the right side, and running halfway round is like engraved laural , leaves etc, any one shed any light on this please Quote

Peter Posted April 9, 2005 Posted April 9, 2005 If it is average circulated condition...ie everything readable and Queen Victorias neckless quite defined its worth about £1/2....if it is brilliantuncirculated it may be worth £10/20.....either way its a piece of history...and 92.5% silver.You could always put it in this years Xmas Pud.
