Unwilling Numismatist Posted January 23, 2018 Posted January 23, 2018 It's only "Arthur" a coin - but I always like finding them (Even when it's been in a box for 10 years hiding) I believe it could be John, although really I should hedge my bets and go with "a King of England" given my ability with these Many thanks in advance! Ukstu Posted January 23, 2018 Posted January 23, 2018 (edited) It looks like a John. Iohan at Canterbury. That's as much as i can see. There was a few Iohans minting at Canterbury under King John. Some had a single letter after their names to break up confusion as to who was who. The coins of Iohan M end in CA for the mint signature so I'd say it was probably one of his. He struck class 5b2 - 5c under John. Edited January 23, 2018 by Ukstu 1 Quote
