1949threepence Posted December 2, 2017 Posted December 2, 2017 I wouldn't buy such a high value coin from e bay. Too risky IMO. Quote
bagerap Posted December 3, 2017 Posted December 3, 2017 Has anyone checked the TPG register? That reverse looks very moody to me. Quote

I agree e-bay for such a high value coin is too much of a risk, unless you know the seller and you also have a chance to see the coin in hand and not just in a photo. However in this case it seems this could be genuine as the seller/dealer on looking at his website (not e-bay listing) and checking members on the BNTA site as he is also a BNTA member. Direct contact may be an option to explore before purchase, as possibly this also avoids a commission to e-bay! Quote
Stuntman Posted December 3, 2017 Posted December 3, 2017 I think he's a known dealer of high value coins. If I was in the market for one of these, and I thought the price was right, I'd have no hesitation in bidding. I think the coin looks pretty darn good from the pictures and he offers a 30 day refund anyway. Quote
