declan03 Posted August 10, 2017 Posted August 10, 2017 Hi. I have 2 x 1723 George II SSC Shillings. Heads 1 & 2. Is there mintage figures for this year as head 2 seems to be a lot scarcer than head 1. Thanks. 1 Quote
Stuntman Posted August 10, 2017 Posted August 10, 2017 I don't think that mintage figures were generally recorded for many coins before the great recoinage of 1816. You're right though, the second bust is quite a bit scarcer than the first bust. Those coins have seen a fair bit of action, in a good way. Nice little bits of history you have there. 2 Quote
declan03 Posted August 11, 2017 Author Posted August 11, 2017 Yes they're far from uncirculated lol. Why do you think there is extra lettering on the letter B in the word HIB? Quote
