minibanty27 Posted June 2, 2017 Posted June 2, 2017 (edited) Hi everyone, go steady on me as this is my first post. I have just bought a shieldback 1884 half sovereign. However, a couple of things concern me. It shows Victoria wearing a necklace and earings. I can not find another Image on the web that is identical, should I be worried? I don't know whether there are any 'colonial' type coins that look similar, but I'd guess that it's a crude fake. Here are the pictures extracted and cropped: Quote
declan03 Posted June 4, 2017 Posted June 4, 2017 You certainly jumped in at the deepend with that one. Looks like its came off a charm bracelet and not intended to dupe anyone. Ask for a refund. Quote
Oswald Posted June 7, 2017 Posted June 7, 2017 It looks like a cheap fake. How much did you pay for it? Quote
