mrbadexample Posted May 14, 2016 Posted May 14, 2016 This is the correct Krause entry I think: I wouldn't know how to recognise the date though. 1 Quote
mrbadexample Posted May 14, 2016 Posted May 14, 2016 Something's not right. The weight doesn't fit. Quote
Matteo95 Posted May 14, 2016 Author Posted May 14, 2016 great !! thank you !! I've found it on numista http://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces16265.html just the weight is a little different Quote
Rob Posted May 14, 2016 Posted May 14, 2016 With a 20% weight range and 10% diameter variation listed in Krause, it may well not be an issue. Also, Krause is littered with mistakes, notwithstanding the fact that what they compiled was a fairly monumental task, so could easily be wrong. Somewhere on the web will be a forum dedicated to Nepalese 5 paisa pieces, sad gits that we are. Quote

Yeah, I think it's right but surprised the weight is high when the example's in the smaller range for diameter. As you say though, could be an error. Monumental task is about right too - fantastic reference is Krause. Where do I sign up to the aforementioned forum? Quote
Charlie Posted May 14, 2016 Posted May 14, 2016 I think the date reads VS1977 (1920).. which would make it KM 690.1? Quote
