kuhli Posted November 17, 2004 Posted November 17, 2004 I recently acquired a 2002 Golden Jubilee crown, in a very nice sleeved presentation folder. I also have a Diana crown, in a similar sleeved presentation folder. But the 2002 crown had an outer sleeve, from Weetabix®. I assume this is a post-mint addition?? Perhaps part of a re-distribution program or something?? My question is: do I need to keep this outer sleeve, or can I dispose of it and just keep the normal sleeve, as issued by the mint?? Or does this outer sleeve give it some kind of instant collectibility that may add value in the future?? How do the British feel about the packaging?? Or do any of you even bother with collecting the new stuff??BTW, I really like these sleeved presentation folders on these 2 British crowns. I hope to start adding more to my collection. Quote
Emperor Oli Posted November 17, 2004 Posted November 17, 2004 I don't think they add any more collectability, and i don't particularly like them. If I were you, I would bin them. i know McCain (the ones who do microwave chips and stuff) id the Millennium £5 in their own packaging, but I han't heard about Weetabix. Quote
