  1. True, but to be honest you could say the same about each of that four coins. They are all different.
  2. Kill me, but I can not see any thicker letters.
  3. The same question here - what is wrong with mine compare to others 1905 halfcrowns in about the same conditions?
  4. Mine is the last one. Can you describe me what is wrong according to you in it?
  5. Sure, XF or UNC even better, however I am not ready to spend £3000+. It is much more interesting things to spend on. Thank you everyone for your opinions.
  6. Hello! I have just bought the following coin. Weight is 13,82. What do you think? Normal, recut, forgery?
  7. And the first photo of that florin in this theme - the same scratches! So it could be copies from an HA's coin.
  8. Sorry - need to post each photo in a new post
  9. True, I have seen on a big screen, you 99% right, however few doubts can't leave me.
  10. It is better to worn down a coin from AU to VF, then strike VF from the beginning. It would look more natural.
  11. Sure HA coin has much higher grade. The higher grade the more attention to a coin, so it is much easier to sell 10 VF fake coins instead of one in XF or even higher. And it is very easy to turn XF to VF.
  12. Btw, just to be clear - I think "Chinese fakers" could buy a good coin (not so expensive and 100% original) from the HA. And used this coin as a model to produce fake dies.
  13. Hello! Look at the eyebrow and the second pearl from a cross on the crown. They have the same damages, which was hand-made, not during a minting process. Also I can see some other similar scratches.
  14. May be it was made from this original coin: http://coins.ha.com/itm/great-britain/world-coins/great-britain-victoria-gothic-florin-1864-/a/3009-21801.s
  15. Hello! I met one on a Russian coins site. The same dot over A in "of a pound" and thicker N in "tenth". Obviously it is a forgery:
  16. Hello! Thank you. Sorry I thought that by comparing the sizes you can identify the face value. Sorry again. I will check the weights tomorrow as well as mentioned Spink numbers.
  17. Hello! Please help me recognize some hammered coins, since my interest is XIX century. Thank you, Serge
