£590 and counting. 34 bids from 5 bidders.

Of course, you're quite right, there were more than one. I wonder if we'll see this bid up to 8K for a second time? https://www.ebay.co.uk/bfl/viewbids/255207897503?item=255207897503&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2565

You're absolutely right Bruce, we've been following her exploits here for a while now. Three years and three 1933 pennies, each with a background story as unbelievable and entertaining as the free form word jazz syntax of her listings. Then, of course, there was the Gothic crown....

Well, well..... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/255207897503?mkevt=1&mkpid=0&emsid=e11011.m43.l3160&mkcid=7&ch=osgood&euid=e832573d003e4a44b73442b42a684432&bu=44013324433&osub=-1~1&crd=20211103002406&segname=11011&sojTags=ch%3Dch%2Cbu%3Dbu%2Cosub%3Dosub%2Ccrd%3Dcrd%2Csegname%3Dsegname%2Cchnl%3Dmkcid

We've been veggie here for decades and are always happy to try new things. Beverage from potatoes though? In our family that would've always meant poitín.... -
Them away, not 'then away'. Apologies for the sloppy typing.
-
I see she was not willing to shell out for a wreath crown to make up the 1933 set then? See too how all coins other than the penny are in oddments box condition so would have seen quite a few years in circulation before the deceased thought to squirrel then away inside the clock.

Eight grand and 62 bids now but accounted for by two bidders only. What's the betting it's a wind up merchant (hurrah!) and a repeated shill response?
-
£5,200. 3rd lucky 1933 find in as many years. Of course it's her: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/255167767006?hash=item3b692f21de:g:WYUAAOSwcfZhKkNf

Food for thought in an interesting new clip from Matt Williamson uploaded today. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9q38CHWYNGY If you're not familiar with his channel do take a look. -

On each listing these statements can be found further down the page. 'Our supplier', singular, would seem at odds with the wording of those certificates of provenance. WE TAKE EVERY CARE TO ENSURE THAT THE DESCRIPTION AND SPECIFICATIONS ON OUR ITEMS ARE CORRECT. HOWEVER SPECIFICATIONS AND DESCRIPTIONS OF ITEMS ON ARE LISTINGS ARE NOT INTENDED TO BE BINDING AND ARE INTENDED ONLY TO GIVE A GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE ITEM/S LISTED. ALL OF OUR COINS & ARTEFACTS ARE DESCRIBED IN THE WAY THAT WE PURCHASE THEM FROM OUR SUPPLIER. IF WE HAVE NOT INCLUDED THE DATING OF AN ITEM IN THE TITLE OR DESCRIPTION IT IS BECAUSE WE CANT SAY FOR CERTAIN THE DATING OF THE ITEM. IT IS PREFERABLE NOT TO PROVIDE DATING ON MANY OCCASIONS AS TO NOT MISLEAD THE CUSTOMER.

I see a number of people are bidding on his 'ancient' Greek offerings too. Mind you, all come with one of those certificates of provenance and you can't put a price on peace of mind...... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/313618758283?hash=item4905227a8b:g:eLUAAOSwOfdhAS8h https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/313618953554?hash=item4905257552:g:oaIAAOSwwatg5cOm

1699 halfpenny stop after date.

I'm chuffed to have recently acquired this from Joe Lee. In many years of looking this and the Nicholson coin (ex Peck) are the only two examples I've ever seen.- 1 reply

I found this while making brekkie this morning. If 'That's Life' was still on telly I'd probably be considering sending it to Esther Rantzen.... -

Every member of the team a credit to their families, their communities, their country. Let's just hope the morons who wrecked Leicester Square earlier today don't go on a booze fuelled rampage tonight. European till I die. -
