Thanks, Some more pics... With a magnifying glass the lower part of the 3 is "fatter" which might be the remaing bits of the "2" and the boarder of the coin seems to be damaged, as if some tool was working on the area. but it might just be me... -
Hi there, I am new member. I lived in the UK for 6 years but now I am living in Portugal. I collect mostly Portuguese coins, but I have a "thing" for victorian coins. I need you help checking this new addition to my collection. Is it a 1853 or a 1853 over 1852? There seems to be some traces of work done around the date and the 3 looks a bit funny to me.
