I'd guess they must be proofs, because the 78 and 72 they list were not minted for circulation. Don't suppose anyone has a spare 81 they'd consider selling?

Hi all, I noticed from searching that a few people collect sets from circulation. I started off doing the same and am working my way backwards. My question is: has anyone got or seen a circulation 10 pence from 1981? With the Mint only starting uncirculated sets in 1982, and only 3.5 million 10 pences minted in 1981, I reckon they could turn out to be very rare, particularly since most of the large 10s were handed in when the smaller one came out in 1992. Granted they are available in proof sets, but I've avoided going for the proof coins up to now. I'm down to about 17 coins left to find to complete my decimal collection, but have a feeling this will be the last one to get.

Can anyone help identify this coin? I originally assumed it was British as it has Victoria's portrait on it, but it may be German. It appears to be gold, but is tiny - only 9 or 10mm in diameter. The reverse has DIAMOND JUBILEE 1897 and NÃœRNBERG on it, while the obverse says IM:OF 2 SOVGN:E:CHR:LAUER with Victoria's portrait. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Pics: Obverse Reverse
