Hello Hussulo. Thanks for your kind welcome. It broke my heart, when i sold off my coin collection as a youngster, but i'd only just passed my driving test, and was extremely eager to get myself a car.....of course, the novelty of it all, lost it's appeal after just a few weeks lol.Needless to say, that i'd not do the same now,if i were faced with the same situation. I can remember at the time, that a couple of coins shops which i frequently visited, would often have sovereigns,in the £20-£25 price range.....shows you how long ago this was. Hi Red Riley. Thanks for your welcome, too. My main interest,is in the Victorian era, although the post Victorian stuff,up to and including George VI,also has a certain amount of appeal.I mainly collect pre 47 silver, but am sometimes tempted by some of the rarer copper bits, which become available. I keep trying to locate some coin shops, which are within driving distance from where i'm located(Sheerness,Kent),but haven't had any joy,so far.Ebay is easy and convenient, but it's so bliming expensive, that i want to find some kind of alternative.
