  1. Even if they did go to all that trouble, they are priced at £18.95 each, and if they have indeed lied, then it just isn't worth buying.
  2. That's a good idea, I have a mountain of old coin references that I don't really need.
  3. I like teachers like that, some of their explanations/stories are really quite interesting.
  4. This teacher is fantastic. He got it from a reliable website devoted to the star (I can't remember who).
  5. Westminster coins are rubbish.
  6. The fact that Spink uses Ebay is beyond me. Why are they trying to sell books there when they might as well do it on their site.
  7. Well, my R:E teacher told me that when this hollywood star, (cant remember his name) was hypnotised, he starting talking about his previous life as a French cavalry officer in french. When it was all translated it turned out to be in the 1700's dialect. Later on he swore that he only knew basic french. SPOOKY.
  8. I would say about 20,000-30,000 maybe more due to their extensive advertising.
  9. I don't know. However, I wouldn't pay that much for it considering that it is the most despisable coin ever.
  10. Should be interesting. How many hits does the Predecimal website get a month?
  11. I've only ever been to Coincraft's shop once, and that was because I was contemplating a set of Elizabeth II farthings for £10. I ran after they told me the price.
  12. The ruthless world of business.
  13. I've heard some wierd stories about reincarnation, they're really spooky.
  14. I know, he must be doing alright for himself is he had thousands of people on his mailing lists.
  15. I'm surprised that he hasn't bribed Spink to place an advert in there.
  16. Also, he spends a small fortune on advertising in every book and magazine imaginable, which is probably why new collectors buy from him.
  17. I totlaly agere wtih you.
  18. I totally agree with his 'prices' issue, I would never buy anything from him purely for the reason that he doubles his prices according to Spink.
  19. I got my information from the Coincraft website.
  20. Yes I heard that to, he was at one point in the Guinnes book of records for being the only person to own a partial set of Edward VIII coins.
  21. There are other proof shillings etc. for most years. They are called V.I.P proofs and currently retail at £300-£400 each in FDC. Jon.
  22. I got mine from my local Ottakers bookshop, and I have seen a copy in all of my local bookshops.
