Two obverse dies were used for Veiled Head sovereigns. One has 148 denticles and the other 153. However I cant seem to find any references to this. Any info regarding this issue would be much appreciated.

I would much appreciate opinions about this one. There appears to be something - possibly another partial letter under the C in VICTORIA. What is it ? Its an 1861 Sydney Mint Half Sovereign.
