    Charles III portrait

Not many dead monarchs are on new coinage, so I'd assume Charles will be on them, also on the new sovereign releases and sets etc
  2. Given the amount of coins that's obviously been submitted and the clout NGC would receive for some of the rarities that's been through this British series from Sincona, it wouldn't surprise me there will be grade inflation
  3. I think if you sent to Heritage for them to have graded then you’d get favourable grades if the coins were rare enough for them to lick their lips.
  4. Made an arse of the above post, this is the image
  5. I know an instance of Heritage influencing a grade, they had contacted a guy I know about a George IIII proof half sovereign he had, it was graded cameo and he said that it should have been an ultra cameo on the label, they said they would send to NGC and low and behold it came back Ultra cameo and was put through their auction and hammered for $24k

    NGC conservation problems

Its no just bi-metallic, there was last year a problem where an NGC affiliate had sent in about 70 odd silver proof 3 graces and about 70% of them came back with some sort of black spotting on the coins.NCS couldn't explain why, they just seemed to brush off the problem and of course took no responsibility
  7. Not for the first time that their "conservation" has gone pear shaped

    Little coins big prices

Recession around the corner? I think recession is already here.

    Little coins big prices

Just secured a 2023 5 coin Sovereign set, should be the first with Chas on the front.

    Royal Mint 2022 Unc set

Maybe sovereigns, but at a guess the RM will produce more sets and the likes for the demand, although a lot of it also hinges on design
  12. I would maybe drop Eric Eigner of drakesterling.com. He's an Aussie dealer in mostly sovereigns, he helped collate the latest Marsh book I believe, there is a foreword of thanks to people who helped with the updated version and I'm sure he's in there.
  13. The common denominator is factual evidence. So tell me, where is what I’ve ever said been wrong? The difference between me and you Michael is that I have the balls and the proof, I like to help others and newbies coming into collecting. I hope with the knowledge that I have gained from this forum helps others not get ripped off, I don’t care that I upset the apple cart because it doesn’t matter to me if I get my coin or not. That’s the difference between me and you, and @jelida and your other like to your post. I’m sure you had a problem with Baldwins prices in a post just recently due to cost, also @AtlasNumismatics yet you try and Scorn me when when I point out the obvious with facts……
  14. Lol and my exact point.....As long as you get you coin, who cares about integrity, obviously not @Menger who liked your reply. Enjoy it, my sarcasm is wasted on some.
  15. Ok, so Guy has chosen to have numistacker give him a helping hand, so Numistacker gives mentions in his videos that there's this auction etc, he gets paid, Numistacker is now in tow with thecoinery, he was booted from the coincabinet. Now what matters is who runs what, the 2 persons who claim to own and run thecoinery, actually don't, they have been struck off.....Guy Fie isn't thecoinery, I assume its his wife for certain reasons.
  16. Exactly the reason why people like MP exist, there was some very extensive posts about his dealings on here a few years ago, so as long as people get their coins, people like him will continue to thrive. I'm not saying there's anything untoward with thecoinery, but as long as they've partnered with another who has been shown to have screwed the public out of money (and a large amount) and also stolen my private data to email my workplace and claim I made death threats against him then I'd not be bidding, but as long as you get your coin then all is good.
  17. Unfortunately its not Guy who runs thecoinery. He's also now collaborating with numistacker, he likes to get his fingers in as many pies as possible
  18. Could it be that the coin was maybe used as a trial and the lines were from the mint looking at altering someting and the lines highlighting this? Just thinking out loud

Please allow me to introduce myself

Welcome to the forum, happy hunting....
  20. Yes I know everything is subjective and I know a lot of people on here don't like TPGs as it is, but I'd like to really start a rogues gallery of some of the grading from TPGs that's doing the rounds. I've just spotted this and it pains me as I have a much nicer 1887 crown slabbed as MS63, this one is MS64 and I'm shaking my head at how people have become so reliant on them yet what they are giving grades to is utter sh*t. Standards have dumped a lot. Bring back LCGS So here's an MS64 1887 Crown slab number 6271095001

Unfortunately only admin can edit it now as its been too long now for me to edit. Maybe @TomGoodheart has the possibility?
