Cuban-1920 -Cinco Centavos-Laymans condition opinion-goodCanadian-1945 5 cents,with the five depicted as a victory V,with a torch in the middle,silver colour,but is a coating.Above type opinion-goodCanadian-1901 silver 10 cents,with Victorias head.-condition goodBelgium-1905 10 Ces (Yes,is Ces)Has hole in middle-condition-goodPortugal-1963 2.50 dollar coin,silver colour-condition goodFrance-1867 50 cent piece silver,with Napoleon 3rd head-condition goodFrance-1923- brass coloured coin,,issued by chambres de commerce,says"Bon Pour 1 franc"-condition goodFrance-1926,as above,but good for 50 centimes-condition goodHolland? Guest Guest Posted October 14, 2004 Posted October 14, 2004 Hi Kuhli,I thought that after identifying my coins for me,the least I could do is tell you the itty bits.The Belgium 1905 10 Ces does indeed have a line under the es.In the date,it is a straightforward 5.It also has a name,A.Michaux at the bottom,opposite side to the date.The French 1867 50 cents has a BB;they look partly overlapping each other.The 1875 Pfennig is very readable on the dirty side,with a magnifying glass,but I couldn't see any letters. (I believe it's a hanging offence to clean coins)I note that there were only 600 thousand New Zealand 1952(Although made well after 1952!) pennies made,so maybe when my great grandson is at retiring age,it may be worth enough to buy him Krause!Regards, Larry. Unlikely I'm afraid, it's a romantic thought, but as long as there are enough better examples to go around and supply demand, your 1952 NZ penny will be worth about the same in 100 years (plus inflation). And by then a copy of Krause 2001-2100 will probably set you back more than £200!The kind of coins that go up in value usually have a mintage of just a few thousand or are in extremely high grade (the best few thousand of any particular coin).Sorry to sound really miserable and negative, but it has to be said. (although, i realise you were probably joking!) Quote
