welshguy Posted October 9, 2004 Posted October 9, 2004 Hi Everyone...My first attempt at scanning coins for posting on the site were OK, but the pictures came out huge although they were quite low as regards Kilobites.....My second attempt was much better and I think they are comparable with other members postings......What I cant fathom out is how to get the head and tail in one picture, do I need special software to do thisor can it be done via XP......Any help would be appreciated Quote
kuhli Posted October 10, 2004 Posted October 10, 2004 To combine the 2 pictures, you will need an advanced software, such as Adobe PhotoShop, or others. As far as scanning, I found that for good results to identify coins, scan in greyscale at 600dpi, crop the picture, and then reduce size to 200x200 pixels. Makes really clear pictures, although you tend to loose the color and luster. Very manageable file sizes, too. Quote
welshguy Posted October 11, 2004 Author Posted October 11, 2004 Thanks for that, will give it a go. Quote
