Yes, I saw that, it was heavily toned with hints of lustre however they still slabbed it MS65 RD! Rather than RB.

Jon... Some time ago, I had heard that this particular coin had once one of the finest known, but that in a misguided attempt to improve upon nature, it had been turned into an unnatural looking orange, then subsequently slabbed MS-65 Red by NGC. Any possibility that the toning occured after it was slabbed?

This auction ended early with the comment that the item was no longer available for sale. Did the same thing happen earlier with an 1869 Penny that Dragonbrit had up for auction on ebay?
