Hi

I have found another coin with my metal detector..... however it is not in very good condition and I cant read much on it.

Any ideas what it is........

All I can read on one side is the word Nottingham running around the outer edge, and what looks to be a larger letter G near the centre. On the other side it looks to have the letters WXLD running round part of the coin with a larger letter W near the centre. The coin itself is about the size of a new 1p coin and made of similar looking material as a new 1p.

Very interesting....if only I new what it is

Thnks .... Jeff

To speculate Jeff it could be a locally (nottingham) issued condor farthing token used in the 1790's or perhaps 1810's but of course it could be much newer and you unfortunately don't have much to go on.
